During your stay

When can I check in at Ocean House and what are the rules?

Our reception is opened between 09:00 and 23:00. During the night, we have a night auditor. You can check in between 15:00 and 23:00. After 23:00, check in isn't possbile. You need to be at least 21 years old to stay at Ocean House Scheveningen, unless you are accompanied by your parents or grand parents.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

We ask a security deposit of 200 EUR for the total stay for all stays at the Ocean House Scheveningen. After check out, the deposit will be automatically released. It depends per bank when the reservation is deleted from your credit card.

If you don't have a credit card, you can make the payment on arrival which will be refunded back after your stay with us.

Can I park my car at Ocean House Scheveningen?

Parking should be confirmed in advance, without a reservation parking is subject to availability.

Please note that this is subjected to availability and only available when booked up front your reservation. The costs are 25 EUR a night and is available until 11:00 on the day of departure. Please navigate to Nieuwe Laantjes 44, which is the rear part of Ocean House. From here, one of our hosts will show you where you can park your car.

Do we offer breakfast?

Take advantage of our unique room service breakfast offer! We deliver an extensive basket with many breakfast items such as yogurt with granola, a croissant, petit pain, scrambled egg with a side salad and jus d' orange. Room service breakfast is available for € 19.50 per person per night. Please send us an email if you would like to add this to your reservation and which time you want to have it delivered to your room. If no time is specified, we will deliver it at 09:30 at your room.

Do you have a laundry service?

No, we don't have a laundry service. In the Keizerstraat you'll find a laundry and a dry cleaning service close to the hotel.

At what time is it possible to check-in and check-out?

You may check-in with between 15:00 and 23:00, but we cannot guarantee early room availability. If your room isn't ready, we can safely store your belongings. For late check-out, inquire one day in advance about availability, depending on occupancy, and additional charges may apply. Our standard check-out time is 11:00 in the morning. If you leave between 07:00 and 09:00 in the morning, please leave your key card in one of the mailboxes on the front or rear of our building. If you want to leave your luggage, you can leave it in the room and pick it up later at the reception desk.

Are there units with a balcony or terrace?

None of our units are equipped with a balcony or terrace.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, your dog is welcome at Ocean House too! A maximum of 1 dog is allowed in the room at a surcharge of €25,00 per night. Dogs must be reported in advance. You can add the dog in step 4 of the booking process via our website or contact our hotel reception.

Is there an elevator?

Most of our studio's and apartments are reachable by elevator. Only the large apartment on the first floor isn't reachable by elevator.

Can I rent a bike at the hotel?

You can rent your (non-electric) bike, subjected to availability. The costs are 16 EUR per day and need to be reserved one (1) day in advance. Ask the reception for the possibilities.
